The Prom explores one girl's brave struggle to find her voice in a community that may not be quite ready to live up to her expectations.  Brought to life by an eccentric well meaning - or maybe self serving - ragtag group of over the top Broadway stars, the story unfolds and reveals both the heart and foibles of one small town in Indiana . Ultimately, The Prom is a celebration of love in all its forms. It reminds us that no matter our differences, we are all deserving of love, respect, and a place to belong. Working on this project has been pure joy. So for their hard work on this production, thanks so much to the talented cast, crew, orchestra, and design team. Thanks as well to the incredible student creative team - Daisy, Calista, and Drake - for their talent and commitment. And finally thank you to my colleagues at SSHS who I am so grateful to work with everyday. Enjoy The Prom!

Musical theatre class has been the most constant, most fun, and most fulfilling part of my high school life. With each new show there is so much to learn, so many laughs, and so much fun. I couldn't be more grateful that I've had this opportunity to assistant direct The Prom. Working on it has been one of the most joyful experiences of my life. The excitement, the energy, the commitment from everyone in the class was so clear in every rehearsal. But more then anything, there is so much love in this cast. These people, their never ending support and kindness is by far my favorite part of this experience, So, I would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this show happen. Thank you Drake for being the best to run rehearsals with and thank you Calista for your amazing choreography. Thanks so much to Mrs. Pinhey and tech. I was able to see up close how much you guys do to make the show possible. It’s stunning onstage. Thank you Mrs. Abbe for vocal directing and being the best vocal teacher throughout all of my four years. And finally, thank you Mr. C. Getting to sit next to you, and watch how you direct up close…I have even more admiration for what you do now. Working alongside you has been one of the most educational and inspiring experiences of my life. I truly couldn’t ask for better teachers. I love this show so much and hope you guys enjoy it!
