A message from the President of International Thespian Troupe #4098:
Greetings, my name is Ryan Brearley. I am a senior at Saint Bernard School which sadly makes this my last production here at Saint Bernard. In my time with The Saints Players, I have had the opportunity to see myself and my peers achieve a level of artistic excellence we did not know was possible for a mere high school production. This achievement required hours upon hours of rehearsal, which can only be described as grueling, yet simultaneously immensely fun.
I just want to say, “thank you.” Thank you for loaning us your children these past months,
Thank you for donating your time to help, for letting us take things from your homes for the show, and for everything I have neglected to mention here. We simply could not have done it without you. And I would like to say a special thanks, on behalf of us all to the Tortoras, for all of their work and dedication, and for putting up with me and my castmate's shenanigans. And finally to my castmates, for never letting me down and for being some of the finest human beings I have ever met.
It's over now. I am on my way out. It's up to each and every one of you to keep the flame burning. The best advice I can impart before I go is, never to be afraid to ask a stupid question because asking a stupid question is 10 times less embarrassing than making a stupid mistake. Keep your chin up always, and put one foot in front of the other regardless of what is bogging you down because sometimes, that's the only thing you can do. The road ahead is always fraught with hardships. What we do takes a long time to be rewarded. But once it does, the feeling of pride you will feel in yourselves and your castmates will be immeasurable. Well, this is where I get off. Break a leg. I love you all.
Ryan
