It is with great pleasure and pride that we introduce and acknowledge the fabulous cast of Shrek The Musical, Jr. at Franklin Middle School!
This cast was selected after a virtual audition of many students. The students chosen were the talented group that were selected throughout the 7th and 8th grades for 2020-2021 school year. These students were challenged with complex choreography, learned to grasp movement within a short amount of time as well as complex vocal patterning and rhythmic skill. They all have shown strength and great enthusiasm towards all forms of music and dance. We both have had the distinct pleasure of teaching many of these students since 5th grade so watching them grow as vocalists, dancers and young men and ladies has been a true joy. They have been a joy to work with and will only continue to grow in their performance capability.
As the choreographer and musical director for Shrek,Jr, we both are extremely proud of this year’s cast. Not only are they talented, but they are academically excellent, with many of them attaining gold and silver honor roll status consistently. Their spirit and excitement about every number they were given made our jobs extremely fun.
Our amazing colleague also makes this show the most amazing thing to be a part of. Thank you Terri Seggio for allowing us to be a part of something (year after year) that is bigger than we could ever imagine. To our families… Thank you for supporting us and understanding when we miss events/games in order to dedicate our lives to these amazing students. Thank you SGS/HSC Players for all of your teamwork, hard-work and dedication.
