    Heather Fender

    Director

    Heather Fender is a dedicated theatre teacher in Western North Carolina, with over 25 years of experience. She brings the magic of the stage to 6th-8th graders and has directed over 40 musicals and plays at Rugby Middle and within the community. Her passion for directing musicals guides young talents to shine in the spotlight, making every moment on stage truly special.

    Tiffany King

    Music Director

    Tiffany King, a Music Education graduate from UNC Greensboro, directs the orchestra and chorus at West Henderson High School. With a rich history of leading pit orchestras and vocal performances in musicals, including "Madagascar, Jr." at Rugby, she resides in Mills River, NC, with her husband Matthew, daughter Claire, and their cat, Luna.

  • Kirsten Allen

    Music Director

    Kirsten began music at 5 on the violin. She attended music schools in New York City, Boston, and Hartford. After graduating from High School, she attended Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, Hartt College, and University of South Carolina. She has concertized in many states across the US, as well as taught publicly and privately, from Elementary through College.

    Elizabeth Creamer

    Choreographer

    Elizabeth Creamer is a former professional dancer who currently teaches dance classes at West Henderson High School. When she is not in the dance studio working on a show Elizabeth spends time with her husband and their two young children. She is beyond grateful to be working with Ms. Fender once again and looks forward to working on many more shows with her.  

     

  • Rebecca Boyce head shot

    Rebecca Boyce

    Stage Manager

    Ms. Boyce is an EC teacher at Rugby, and “Finding Nemo Jr.” is her 6th production with the Rugby Players. Ms. Boyce went to school for Theatre Education at UNC Asheville and had the esteemed experience of student teaching with Ms. Fender as her mentor! Since then, she fell in love with Rugby and has made it her goal to stick around for as long as they’ll have her.
