Playwright
Annie Baker‘s plays include Body Awareness (Atlantic Theater, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Play/Emerging Playwright), Circle Mirror Transformation (Playwrights Horizons, OBIE Award for Best New American Play, Drama Desk nomination for Best Play), The Aliens (Rattlestick Playwrights, OBIE Award for Best New American Play), and Nocturana. Her work has also been developed and produced at NY Theatre Workshop, MCC, Soho Rep, South Coast Rep, the Magic Theater, others. Annie is a member of New Dramatists, MCC’s Playwrights Coalition, and EST, and an alumna of Youngblood, Ars Nova’s Play Group, and the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab. Recent honors include a New York Drama Critics Circle Special Citation, a Susan Smith Blackburn Prize nomination, a Time Warner Storytelling Fellowship, a MacDowell Fellowship, and commissions from Center Theatre Group and Playwrights Horizons. MFA, Mac Wellman’s playwriting program at Brooklyn College.

Robynn Rodriguez

Robynn is excited to be back at RTC directing Circle Mirror Transformation. For 22 seasons, she was a member of the resident acting company at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. In addition to OSF, Robynn’s work as an actor has been seen at the Public Theatre, Guthrie Theater, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Arizona Theatre Company, Denver Center Theatre Company, Intiman Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, and many others. Her directing work has been seen at RTC, the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Santa Cruz Shakespeare (July 2023), American Players Theatre, Pacific Conservatory Theatre, University of Texas, Austin, West Virginia University and Dartmouth College.
