The Wizard of Oz - April 08 - April 09, 2016

Robert E. Aylor Middle School

 Acknowledgements

This year's production was a collaborative effort between the students at Aylor Middle School, Bass Hoover Elementary School, Middletown Elementary School, and Sherando High School.  These students were involved in the show through acting/music; technical support; and visual art.  The talent on the southern end of Frederick County is absolutely amazing and we are fortunate to showcase it through this show.  We would like to thank the following folks who helped in additional ways:

-Mr. Lance Moss for all of your continued support with our frustrating sound system.  We appreciate the many planning periods you gave up to help us.

-Melissa DeGrange for the use of your wine barrell.  It was perfect for the farm scene.

-Winchester Little Theater for allowing us to borrow so many costumes from your costume shop.

-Mrs. Clare Norris, who spent many countless hours on evenings and weekends designing and constructing our beautiful scenery along with our SART students and former Aylor students who are now in the art department at SHS.

-Mrs. Sarah Paul, for helping with auditions, casting the show, and filling in backstage at the last minute.  You are the BEST colleague!

-Mrs. Karen Legge, for alterations and sewing various costumes needed for the show (some at the last minute) and for letting your daughter's dogs out when she had to stay late for rehearsal along with Mr. Mike Legge

-Mrs. Jamie Bittorie, for recommending and contacting the actors from Middletown Elementary School

-Mrs. Heather Sherman, for recommending and contacting the actors from Bass Hoover Elementary School.

-Mr. Mark Miles, for helping set our lights and spots; helping with the hardware for our sets; and painting the flats.

-Mrs. Jodie Broccolo, for cleaning out the overcrowded dressing rooms and organizing them so wonderfully; designing and implementing the incredible make-up designs; supervising cast members backstage; and jumping in and doing things before Ms. Legge even thought of them.  You are amazing!

-Mrs. Rachael Loveless, for helping in any possible way we needed!  Ms. Legge is not sure what she would do without you around this place.

-Mrs. Cathy Conner, for shooting our outstanding publicity photos.

-Miss Miranda Beard, for being such a good sport your FIRST WEEK of student teaching and jumping in wherever we needed you (supervising students, make-up, backstage, etc.).

-Miss Layne Burdick, for being everywhere and anywhere we needed along with helping Ms. Legge with music instruction; blocking; and auditions.

-Miss Skylar Treadwell, for helping backstage as needed.

-Miss Clair Howard, for coming on board at the last minute to help out with make-up.

-Mr. Allan Patton and Mrs. Kim Black for helping with construction of our sets and supports/braces.

-Elementary parents who provided transportation to Aylor from your respective elementary schools and also Middle Schoool parents who picked cast/crew up several times per week.

-The parents and teachers of the entire production staff as this a a HUGE commitment of time and resources.  We appreciate your support and understanding.
