    Mrs. Rachel Miranda

    Choreographer

    Rachel Miranda is a graduate of Montclair State University where she received a BFA in Dance and a BA in English Education. While at MSU, she received extensive training in Ballet, Modern and Choreography and she performed works by Jose Limon, Alwin Nikolais, Alexandra Beller and Lonne Morreton. Rachel is a founding company member of moe-tion dance theater, a modern dance company based in New Jersey. Rachel directs the Dance Program at Ridge High School. She is the advisor of Ridge Dance Collective and the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. She is also the coach of Ridge Dance Team. Rachel has choreographed "Rent," "The Secret Garden," "Legally Blonde" and the "Robber Bridegroom" for Ridge Drama Club and was thrilled to choreograph "Bye Bye Birdie." Rachel also directs the dance program at Wharton Music Center in Berkeley Heights, NJ. She teaches ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary and musical theater dance.

    Set Designer & Construction

    Jason M. Stewart is an artist and art educator at Ridge High School. This is his fifth year designing sets and leading the construction and stage crew at Ridge. Jason has exhibited his artwork throughout NJ, NY, PA, and MD – most recently at the Newark Museum in Newark, NJ. He has been involved with various facets of theater for over 20 years and he is extremely proud of the hard work the stage crew has put into this Roy Lichtenstein - inspired set. Jason would like to thank the production staff and Bernards Township for believing in and understanding the importance of the arts.     Mr. David Kern

    Lighting & Sound Director

    This is Dave’s 5th year as PAC Manager and Lighting and Sound Designer at Ridge. Dave was a professional performer in NYC for 15 years. He then got his chance to teach voice and acting at the Ocean County Academy of Performing Arts. Dave would like to acknowledge the professionalism of the production staff, cast and crew of “Bye Bye Birdie,” and their understanding of teamwork that will make this a show to remember. Most of all I want to thank my wife Megan, daughter Andi, and son Jack, for the many hours of sacrifice to put a production like this on the stage. I love you all so much.

  • Ms. Jennifer Curran

    Orchestra Conductor

    Jennifer Curran, conductor, received her education from Trenton State College and Nova Southeastern University. Jennifer is a freelance violinist in the tristate area and performs with a number of the area orchestras. She has served as conductor of the NJ Region Orchestras, Lakeland Youth Symphony and of several summer festival orchestras.
