Annie Klark
Director/Music Director
Annie Klark brings a background as singer, actor, music instructor, and music/theatre director. Annie graduated from the U of M with degrees in Vocal Music Performance and English Literature. She has been a frequent performer including productions at the Detroit Opera, JET, Friends of the Opera of Michigan, Ford Performing Arts Center, Toledo Opera, Trenton Village Theatre, the Henry Ford, and Marquis Theatre. She has toured nationally including the Detroit Opera, Auditorium Theatre Chicago, and the Dodworth Saxhorn Band. Annie has taught music lessons for over 20 years and has directed productions with the Toledo & Detroit Opera Education/Outreach Programs, Wild Swan Theatre, Michigan Music Center, Michigan Academy of Dance, and at Midwest schools. She has been Conductor of the Detroit Opera Youth Chorus Preparatory Choir. In 2012, Annie became the Co-Founder & Artistic Director of OpenSpot Theatre which teaches musical theatre to students with disabilities.
