  Director’s Message       

Thank you all for coming out and supporting this Concert Version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic “South Pacific”. This production features a live orchestra, which is something Reading Civic Theatre has not had the privilege to use for many years. I am excited and thankful for the opportunity to bring this classic to you.

We have an amazing cast of 35 singers, along with 15 of the most talented Instrumentalists in Berks County. Although our rehearsal process was a short one, this cast was up to the challenge. I thank them for their hard work and willingness to be a part of this show.

The South Pacific musical was written in 1949 and some of its themes are still prevalent in our society today. I believe it has a wonderful message of acceptance     and love and can be appreciated at any age. So, sit back, relax and enjoy RCT’s production           of “South Pacific In  Concert”!
