Notes from the Producer:

Hi! My name is Ali and I'm so excited for you to see this year's production of Seussical. Although this is only my third show producing for LGYT, I am no stranger to theater.

My mom Cheryl Hasha began the musical theater program at Fisher Middle School as a volunteer back in 1988. She wrote and directed the very first show here and grew the program over the years to full scale productions! These include: Dracula, Ducktails and Bobbysocks, 42nd Street, The Boyfriend, Bye Bye Birdie, Peter Pan, and Annie between 1989-1995.

When I arrived at Fisher as a sixth grader, she decided to separate herself from the theater in order for me to cut my own path. I then was in Li'l Abner as a Mad Scientist, Grease as a Beauty School Angel and Sandy understudy at Fisher, and went on to continue performing at LGHS. I was in Concert choir, Jazz Purr, and played Old Lady in Candide, and Rusty in Footloose. I continued to do theater and sing in ensembles through college and worked for Theater in the Mountains, Comedy Sportz Improv Group, and have produced plays for the Elementary schools in Los Gatos for the past 4 years.

I have grown up in theater and am so excited to come full circle to help these students foster their love of performing! I have had the honor of watching theater change the lives of young people and am thrilled to work alongside Heather Stokes to continue building the legacy of bringing the joy of theater to our students.
