Queen's Grant first brought Seussical, JR to the stage in 2009. This musical was the first ever performed in the history of the school. Seven years later, it has come back bigger and better than before! We are proud to present this musical as a tribute to how much the drama program at Queen's Grant has grown over the years.
The first Seussical, JR performance was presented in the gym with curtains hanging from wires, a few little spotlights, and a brand new cast of students new to the stage. We've come a long way since then, and are proud to present this musical once again!
The giant Seuss hat as you entered contains the signatures of all the original cast and crew members from the 2009 show.
Each night, the person playing the part of Vlad Vladikoff is a former QG student from the original cast, now in high school or college.
Friday night's performance features Jenna Morrin, an original Wickersham.
Saturday night's performance features Parks Drake, the original Cat in the Hat.
Sunday afternoon's performance features Zach Walker, an original Jungle Creature, who has been with us ever since, helping out backstage.
Thank you for your support of the QG drama program throughout the years! This program changes the lives of students for the better, and many have gone on to star in high school and collegiate performances. Several of our past students are pursuing degrees and careers in theater, technical theater, and theater production.
