NOTES FROM THE DIRECTOR
- I am extremely proud of this production. The quality of the cast and crew is outstanding. A truly successful production however, involves more than what is finally presented on the stage. It should not only be an artistic learning experience, but a personal one as well. I'm especially proud of the cooperation, mutual respect, level of commitment, and the teamwork that has been demonstrated by everyone involved in this production. These students have learned that if they have one line or fifty, were on or off stage, that everyone shares equally in the success of the show. Honk! was a different type of show for us and we all hope you enjoy this sweet story of accepting others and yourself.
- A huge THANK YOU to the parents of the cast and crew. I know how many hours you spend running your kids to rehearsals, searching GoodWill stores and attics for costumes and props, and driving through fast food to make sure your students have a wonderful experience. I would also like to give an extra THANK YOU to Bruce Becker for all of his help with the production and logistics.
- Thank you to Mr. Glosser for making sure we have an archive of our show!
- I would like to extend my gratitude to the QG PTI for their involvement and support.
- Thank you to the QG administration and staff for your neverending flexibility and understanding.
- To my 8th Graders- I especially appreciate your leadership. I hope you will be able to use lessons you learned in our productions as you go out and set the world on fire! Please come back and visit and you are always welcome to help.
- Parks and Nolan-Thanks for helping me keep it all together. Even when I was losing my mind, I knew I could count on you to find it for me!
- My wonderful husband-For putting up with me during the show and making sure my family is fed. Thank you for your support and letting me do what I love.
- Finally-to my Drama Queens-Leslie, Kristin, Pam and Angie-Another curtain closed and we didn't kill each other! Leslie-I'm so glad I have you so the kids don't sing like me. Kristin-Thank you for listening to my rambles and keeping my feet on the ground. Pam-I really do appreciate all of your hard work. I especially appreciate the laughter we shared. Angie-Thank you for not killing me everytime I would say, "Oh, Angie-there's one more prop I want to add to that scene!"
Thank you again to everyone for being such an important part of the team and helping these students have a fun experience.
