Theatre education is an influential power in many people’s lives. When we look at what theatre education provides, it allows us to connect and enables us to be seen and heard. It can improve reading comprehension and help verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Theatre education provides the foundations for what makes us more whole human beings through creativity, connection, collaboration, communication, and caring. Not to mention, the community and safe haven one often refers back to when thinking about their time on and around the stage.
We created Project Sing Out! for every student that is striving to have a voice. Who does not want their community taken away. Who tirelessly tries to work on their craft no matter where they are in the United States and no matter what school, cafeteria, classroom, or room they are acting, singing, dancing, or speaking in. We celebrate each and every student along with the hard working educators who are trying to improve their students’ futures and make the world a more equitable, just place.
Whether you are on a professional stage or still in the classroom, theatre is a place for dreamers. We hope as you watch this concert you see all of the possibility, all of the creativity, and all of the beauty in the shared love of theatre and the differences and similarities we have. We are honored you chose to be a part of this event tonight and would love for you to kindly open up your hearts, as well as, your wallets and contribute to the future.
Our Great Thanks,
The Project Sing Out! Producers
