Notes from the Director

Welcome to the premiere performance of YPTC Kids!

   I was a little worried when I chose to split YPTC Jr. in half and give the younger kids their own company. Would they come back if they couldn't be in the summer show? Would they be able to rehearse evenings during the school year? Will there be enough interest to fill out the cast? Will they be strong enough to carry their own show? I needn't have worried. They did come back to rehearse in the evenings. We filled the cast with old pros and many first timers. As you will see, they most certainly can carry their own show.

   The cast has evolved over time from quiet, shy, and in some cases, unsure individuals into the enthusiastic, close knit group you see today. It has been a joy to watch the transformation.

   We now have three companies where young people can learn to express themselves and grow into strong, confident actors and individuals. We provide a place to work along side others their age with the same interests and develop friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. This summer we offered a movie camp for those too young for the Kids company and plan many more activities with them in mind.

   YPTC continues to grow with your support. Through your donations we will continue to provide quality theatrical productions for the young people of our community. Thank you for your generosity.
