Charles Dinwwody Smythe is proud to have worked as butler of the Spiffington Manor for 32 years. In his years at the estate, Charles has become good friends with Sir Reginald Spiffington. Though Charles may have long outlived his usefulness, and most would have fired him by now, Reggie has always been very kind to him (even when he can’t get stains out of the linens).

His new opera has had a successful opening in Paris and he is hoping to open a production in the theatrical capital of America, New York City. His friendship with movie star Delilah Castle has brought him to Sir. Reginald’s dinner party.

Jeanie Smith is a retired widow. She met Reggie through her late husband’s work and they became very good friends, staying in touch even after her husband’s death. Since his last divorce she has acted as hostess at Reggie’s many dinner parties.
