This year's production was a nice change from the previous years of dealing with the pandemic. The students (and myself) are overjoyed that we are able to do this musical three days in a row. With that being said, we need to also acknowledge the people that helped this all come together.
-The PHS Administration for the wonderful support of our program as well as answering any questions or concerns that were needed to have a successful program.
-The sound crew. Thank you so much for everyone who is involved with the sound and lighting and a special thanks to David Jameson who always is ready to go and is able to adjust as necessary. We appreciate what you do for us as well as other programs at the school!
-I would also like to thank anyone who has donated to our program from the past or present. You keep us thriving and going at PHS, and we cannot thank you enough!
-The teachers who have given their time to be a part of this production and also the ones that have reached out to help. (Ms. Parris and Ms. Goodbar!)
-Our awesome casting directors: Mrs. Kayla Williams, Ms. Evelyn Ruff, and Ms. Jordan Reyes!
-The parents of the actors! You were awesome about picking up and dropping of the students for practices, and I really appreciate your time and diligence!
-The students that are a part of the production. I cannot thank you enough for what you all have done. Without your help, I would not be able to get half of the stuff that I achieved in this production. I hope that you leave this stage with a new appreciation for the arts and a newfound love of being onstage.
-Also, a special thank you to the Clemson Little Theater for allowing us to use their costuming for our production. I want to extend a larger thanks to Amelia's mom (Jennifer Scott) that went over and beyond for this production. Thank you so much for your time with making the props, as well as getting the actors fitted quickly for their costumes!
To my students in leadership:
-Maliyah, thank you so much for getting this program together for me. I know this took time outside of school and I appreciate your time, effort, and meticulous nature!
-Lilly and Sam, thank you so much for being able to quickly adjust yourselves and go with the flow. The most important part of showbiz is to be very flexible, and you both were wonderful! Thank you so much for all of your work!
-McKenzie, You have worked extremly hard with your blocking, and I am so proud of your diligence. I saw your work and I know that you have your whole heart into the production. Thank you for your time!
-Amelia, You have done an excellent job in crossing your job to complete not only choreography, but to assist in teaching acting and blocking. You have done an excellent job!
-Anyone else that I might have left out, I just want to say thank you for everything that was done for our production. I am beyond happy about the community and students that we have in this school that have put their extra time and effort into making this musical a success!
