Have you ever felt yourself going through the motions? Stuck in the monotony of everyday life? And you often feel like there is no way out, or we get so comfortable we fear making any changes will completely upend our lives.

In this show, we follow the journey of the Banks Family: a father, a mother, a daughter, a son. All of whom are dealing with their own personal struggles, unaware there is so much more to life than their regular routines in Cherry Tree Lane… until an advertisement, written by two children desperate for someone to disrupt this mundane life, blows through their chimney and lands into the hands of none other than Mary Poppins.

When Mary comes, change begins almost instantaneously. She shows the children how to bring joy to the most simple activities, like cleaning their rooms or walking in the park, while subtly yet drastically changing George’s perspective on being a husband and father and discovering that life is more than just earning a dollar.

If you find yourself like the Banks family, I am happy to inform you that there is a person much greater than Mary Poppins that can completely change your life and bring you joy like you’ve never experienced…

Jesus Christ.

When we admit we are a sinner in need of Savior, he comes in and begins to work on our hearts. In Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians, he reminds us “... if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.” Now this does not guarantee all your troubles will go away spit-spot, and you will be skipping through the park, singing “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” at the top of your lungs. However, we are reminded that we were created for so much more than just passively sauntering through life. We were made to experience His unconditional love which has the power to change us and then to share with anyone who will listen!

To those who have experienced this, share it with others! Shout it from the rooftops, so others can encounter the love of a Savior who was willing to lay his life for us.

To those who relate to the Banks, I implore you: Write your advertisement. Call out to Jesus. There is an amazing life ahead of you if you take that first step. You might even say it could be… practically perfect.

Enjoy the show!

In Christ,
