Fiddler on the Roof - February 27 - March 08, 2015

Palm Springs High School Theatre Company

 End Notes

Notes from the Director:

I am extremely proud of this production. Fiddler on the Roof holds a special place in my heart because this show contributed to my love for theatre and performing when I was only fourteen years old. I am so proud of the students in this show because they have worked so hard in putting this show together in only seven weeks. When they weren’t rehearsing they were helping me finish our beautiful sets for the production or volunteering to help wherever they could. The quality of the cast, pit orchestra, and production crew members on this show are truly outstanding. What makes this production successful is not only what is presented on stage, but the cooperation, mutual respect, level of commitment, and the teamwork that has been demonstrated by everyone involved in this production.

I would personally like to thank a few people who have truly made an impact on this production.

Kyle – Thank you for giving up so much of your time to help myself, Dan, and the students with building our set pieces. I honestly could not have done this without you.

Matt – Thank you so much for your time and dedication to this production, the music sounds incredible and the students have learned so much from you. Thank you for working as hard as you have on this.

Lyndee – To the woman who can work miracles, thank you, thank you, thank you. I have never had the pleasure of working with someone who cares as much or works just as hard as me. You truly have made this show look incredible and I hope this will not be the last show we work on together. You have really made this show come alive with your wonderful costumes.

Kevin – This show would not sound the same without you. Thank you for giving up countless hours in learning how to set up and work our new sound system in the auditorium, the kids love you and I truly appreciate all of your hard work.

Dan – Thank you for the countless hours of labor that you have put into this show in building these sets. I know we may have been in way over our heads at times, but it was all worth it and I couldn’t have asked for a better set designer partner.

Alexis – Thank you for adding your talented touch of magic to this show, the dances truly came alive because of you and I cannot thank you enough for the hours you have put into choreographing this show. You have been a pleasure to work with.

Jason – Thank you for always being there with a helping hand and guidance throughout this musical process. I appreciate you helping out where you can and for playing with us in the pit. Thank you for your support.

Rocky – Thank you for always saying “yes” for when I ask for your help. The students, Lyndee, and I are so happy with the work that you did in just one day. You really transformed our costume shop. This show would also not be where it is today without your help in building my fiddler house and Inn. Thank you for all that you do!

Louis – Thank you for always being there for myself, the crew, and the students. I know how many hours you dedicate to this theatre and I can’t express how thankful I am for all that you do for us and this performing arts department.

Bob – Thank you for all of your time and energy that you have put into this show in getting the students prepared to sing these songs. They sound amazing!

Scott – Thank you for volunteering all of those hours into helping us have a successful rehearsal process. The students have learned so much from you and I can’t thank you enough for your constant willingness to help.

Dana and Cynthia – Thank you for always being there for me, I don’t know what I would have done without the two of you by my side. You were always there to step up as leaders when I needed you to be and never said “no” once. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Haley – Thank you for all of the hours that you have spent to help myself and Mrs. Acker out with choreographing this musical. You have so much talent and I can’t wait to see what you do in the future.

David – Thank you for giving up your entire Sunday afternoon to help with our sets. I am so thankful for everything you helped myself and Dan out with.

Ryan – Thank you for always lending me a helping hand and for donating the pump and old wood to build Tevye’s cart.

Lastly, to all of the parents who have reached out and supported this program. We would not be as successful without you!
