Notes from the Director:
It has been such a lovely journey working with the students at Oregon Middle School this past spring. They have created props, set pieces, characters, and so much more through out this process and truly learned all the elements that go into creating a production. They have all worked together as a team to create this final product, and they each have brought so much of themselves into this production. This show truly would not be the same with out each and every one of the students in this production. So with that I must thank the adults that got each of these students into theater or let them come audition for a musical. Without your support these students wouldn't be here today, and I can't thank you all enough for trusting in arts education and how important it is for students. I then have to thank all the adult volunteers who have helped at every moment of this process and have made this production possible. So thank you to the adult volunteers and thank you to the students for bringing so much of themselves to this.
I also have to thank some very special people who helped throughout this process. Belinda Akale was our assistant director and choreographer. Belinda did an amazing job and helped with so many more things than you could imagine throughout this process. The next person is my mom, Debbie Curtin, who spent countless hours sewing costumes and gluing pinwheels to cardboard to help create the costumes and set pieces you see here today. The last person I need to thank is DeeDee Bouzek who allowed us to borrow most of the costumes you see on stage today. DeeDee was also my middle school musical director, and she is the reason I am doing what I'm doing today. So thank you all again so much for making this happen! And without further ado please enjoy.... Seussical JR.
