Welcome to the Nyack Drama Club’s production of DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS. As we like to do here at Nyack we have reverted back to doing something that is not the norm for your usual high school theatre club. This musical, based on the 1988 movie of the same name that starred Michael Caine and Steve Martin, is the fun telling of two con men preying on the wealthy socialites of the French Riviera.
This year has brought a new addition to our production team. We are fortunate to have Miss Carrie Silvernail join us as our Choreographer. An accomplished dancer and teacher, she has worked professionally in the region and brings a fresh new energy to our production.
I would like to take this time to make a special thank you and dedication to a woman who has been an integral part of the Drama Club. Kathy Tappenden has been a vital part of the behind the scenes daily running of the club since I arrived in the main office in 1999. The Drama Club would like to dedicate this show to a hard working, passionate, dedicated woman. Now it’s her turn to sit back and enjoy the talented students of Nyack.
In closing, as always, I would like to thank the administration, teachers and staff of Nyack High School for their never ending support of our students. To our parents, I am so grateful for your commitment and understanding of the importance of theatre in the education of your children’s lives. So without further adieu, please sit back and enjoy this rollicking romp through the South of France!
