This is Janib's 6th show with Nova High School's Spotlight Performers. When she learned that she earned the role as Tracy Turnblad, she was in shock. She is so excited to express her fierce and bubbly personality onstage. She worked her way up for the past two years doing small roles and working backstage and finally got a lead role!!

Mr. Schultz
as Edna
Mr. Schultz is proud, once again, to have the opportunity to share the stage with the Nova drama students. He has also been lucky enough to appear in Legally Blonde, as Mr. Woods, and in Grease, as the Teen Angel. As the Director of School Counseling at Nova, Mr. Schultz has gotten to know many of the drama students well and he is honored to be included in the performances with these amazing and talented students. In his free time, Mr. Schultz enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar and piano, and remaining active with outdoor activities. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Florida. He has been a member of the Nova family for seven years and is proud to be a Titan!

as Corny Collins
Michael is really excited to be in this musical. To be honest he has never seen the Hairspray movie but he can pull off any voice thrown at him. He has a spectacular singing voice and he believes he can bring the roof down if he needs to. This is his 2nd show overall and he is ready for a big role as Corny Collins.

as Penny Pingleton
This is Laura's first show at Nova High School and she could not be more excited about taking on the role of Penny. She's basically swam her whole entire life, so she's very excited about this experience. Break a leg everyone!
