  • Chris Rivera (Orchestra Director and Producer)

    Chris graduated from Norwalk High School in 1998.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University and a Master of Arts degree in Music Theory from the University of Connecticut.  Chris is proud to be an artist for the Yamaha Corporation of America, an artist for REMO Inc. and an educational team member for VicFirth and Zildjian.  Theatre credits include: Pippin, Hello Dolly, Guys and Dolls, Bye Bye Birdie, Anything Goes, Mame, Kismet, Once Upon a Mattress, The 14 Steps, Brigadoon, Cabaret, Kiss Me Kate, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, The Most Wonderful Year, Sweeney Todd, Bat Boy, The Kiss of the Spider Woman, When Pigs Fly, Chicago, Barnum, Hairspray, Funny Girl, Annie, The Music Man, The Little Mermaid, The Addams Family, Shrek and Cinderella.

  • Maria Cherniske (Choreographer)

    Maria is dedicated to perfecting her art and the love of performance. She loves getting to know others and helping people get to know her through dance. Maria is on Guest Faculty at the world renowned Broadway Dance Center in New York City and since 2021 has been on staff at Acrobatic Arts working as an adjudicator and course conductor. Maria was the Broadway World regional choreographer of the year in Connecticut for 2017. In addition, Maria was the assistant choreographer for Rob Thomas’ music video “I Trust You”, co-choreographed the Off-Broadway hit “La Cancion,” and was the assistant choreographer on the latest New Jersey Lottery Commercial (Cash Pop).  

  • Ethan Newman (Lighting Design)

    Ethan Newman (Lighting Design) Ethan is very excited for his third production with Norwalk High School. A recent M.F.A. graduate, Ethan has been designing in and around New York City the past two years. Notable works include: Newsies (Centenary Stage), Rent (Riverdale Children's Theater), and To Kill a Mockingbird (Forestburgh Playhouse). Special thanks to my friends and family for making the theater dream possible.
