The Wizard of Oz (RSC 1987) - May 06 - May 07, 2022

North Clarion High School

 End Notes

From the Director...

On behalf of the entire production team, welcome to North Clarion's production of The Wizard of Oz!  At a small school like ours, the students are involved in many activities and sports and some have jobs, which made our 6-week preparation for this show challenging. Still, determination, and diligence have their rewards, and what we have to share with you will exemplify the outcomes of perseverance. An experience such as this molds young people, and it is with fondness that they will remember the fun and excitement of both rehearsals and performances long after they graduate high school.

I would like to convey my gratitude to all the teachers, parents, staff, family, and friends who volunteered their time in so many ways to this show. You have been a vital part of making this production a success for our students.

Thank you to Mr. Ed Baumcratz and Mrs. Sue Lencer for being a sounding board when I needed help or advice and for being constant supporters of this musical.

To Mr. Hornberger, I cannot thank you enough for the hours that you have given to these students in this production!  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you. Keep building into the students and these programs; NCHS is blessed to have you!

Cast and Crew, I hope you had as much fun as I did over the last 6 weeks!  It has been a blast watching you become these characters and take on your roles behind the scenes with such confidence.

To our seniors, it has been an honor to work with each of you.  You have enriched my life so much, and I wish you all the best as you move on to the next stage of your life.

We are delighted that you are here to support our students and to underscore the importance of the arts in education. Please enjoy the fruits of our labors as we invite you to follow us on The Yellow Brick Road to the Merry Old Land of Oz!

Mrs. Coursen
