Notes from the Director:

Saying the last twenty months has been difficult is certainly an understatement. As we march towards a "getting back to normal" way of life, it is thrilling to watch businesses open and live events happening.  The need for person to person connection has never been more essential than now.  It is in this spirit that the Newbury Park High School Theatre Department presents to you All Together Now!, a global musical theatre event celebrating being together once more.  Feeling the energy of our student performers has invigorated myself in this directing process and made me excited to present this musical theatre piece to you, featuring songs from many musicals you know and love.  It is a celebration of our art form and why, especially in these times, we need to keep expressing and connecting.

As always, it takes a village and I could not have put on this production without the help of the following people.  To the tireless Amy Mohelnitzky, our new Theatre Boosters president, and all of the Booster board and parent support, thank you so much.  We could not have put together this show without you.  To Mr. John Sargent, thank you for teaching, supporting and even at times, literally singing shoulder to shoulder with our talented bunch.  Mr. Zachary Spencer, I will be forever grateful to you and the music you bring.  To Mr. Dennis Crystal and Mrs. Tina Huang, thank you for putting the band together, rehearsing long hours, and helping to create this wonderful piece of VPA collaboration.  Thank you, Mr. Greg Hartstein, for coming on your days off to help shape the sound of the show to what it is today, both live and online.  Mr. Jeff Ditto, thank you once again for your creativity, your time and your patience.  Thank you to the administration and especially, Mrs. Carly Adams, for always being supportive and excited to be here.  A special thank you to my little family, that has endured the absence of mom for the last little while.  I love you dearly.  Lastly, to the wonderful students that I am grateful every day to work with.  They give their heart, soul, sweat, tears and passion to these projects.  Thank you for giving me the gift of you.  Without further ado, we hope you enjoy the show!  ~Marilyn Strange
