Jennifer Swiderski
Director
Jennifer is honored to be a part of NYFA students’ return to live theater by directing one of the most beloved Sondheim works. She began her career dancing, which cultivated a passion for storytelling. While performing on Broadway in Mamma Mia!, Jennifer began directing regionally and was hooked. New to the NYFA Family, she resides in NYC with her husband, son, and dog.

Kristy Cates
Producer
Chair of PCMT at NYFA and is proud to be a founding faculty member of the MT department. Her B’way career includes Elphaba in Wicked (as well as being part of the original cast), Miss Bassett in Finding Neverland, and Grandma Josephine in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. Kristy is a professional voiceover artist and is honored to both teach and perform across the world.

Schuyler Thornton
Producer
Schuyler is Musical Theatre Coordinator at NYFA and co-producer and flutist for Into the Woods. Performances include J2 Spotlight, Ohio and College Light Opera Cos., Sewanee Music Festival, Rockbridge and Waynesboro Symphonies. Faculty at Rutgers Community Arts and author for Flute Talk. Tala is very excited to be making their NYFA debut with Into the Woods! Off-Off Broadway: The Winter’s Tale (NY Shakespeare Exchange). Regional: Annie, Legally Blonde, Matilda, Sweeney Todd, Mamma Mia, Rock of Ages, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Elf (Fort Wayne Civic Theatre).
