To the cast of The Little Mermaid, you are amazing! You have made one of my favorite movies come alive on the stage. From quickly changing your character from sea creature, to human, back to sea creature again, you have continually impressed me. Some of you took a risk and tried something new by jumping into the theatre circus. I'm so glad you did. This family is better because you are in it. I am so proud of each and every one of you for proving again, that you are excellent in so many ways.
Thank you to our director, Cory Snyder, for teaching our kids every week and helping them find their big voices on the stage! For being an example of committment and dedication. Through sickness, death, and frustration, you have continually shown these kids love and support. We are blessed to have you in our lives.
To our student stage manager, Annalise Totten, thank you! You came to rehearsal, read lines for our cast, and took notes for Cory every week. Not only did you make sure that the students were prepared when rehearsals started, but you also stayed after to ensure that everything was put away, which took a burden off of Mrs Foshay. Your dedication to the show was appreciated beyond measure!
A huge thank you to our choreographer, Hanna Foshay. You worked tirelessly to see these students move fluidly like sea creatures, step like seagulls, dance like princesses, and waltz like royalty. Even while you were busy with your own schooling and musical show, you made our Navigators students a priority. Your perseverance in seeing them do their best was extraordinary.
Rebecca and Aaron Walker, Melody Miller, Kari Smith, Stacey Christiansen, Michelle Sheets, Rebecca E Walker, Sarah Burch, Amanda Schneurstein, Carrie Baker, Debbie Kelson, Marie Daoust, Pam Foshay, your work on the costumes, set pieces, backdrop, and a million things between was priceless. I know that many of you worked for hundreds of hours to bring beauty and life to The Little Mermaid. For all of your hard work and time, we are forever grateful.
To our Props Team, Katelyn Pierson, Michelle Garnett, and Misty Cruz, thank you for creating and finding so many amazing props and for having them available early so the actors could practice with them. From pipes, to covered serving dishes and wedding cakes, you ladies were the cherry on top!
To our back stage team, Gray Berryhill and Michael Robertson, for joining us during those last few crazy weeks and moving the set pieces and props and keeping them all organized from the shed, to stage right, to stage left!
To our lights and sound team, thank you for stepping in at the end of our production to add the finishing touches to the show. Sara Hague, Kassi McGregor, and Zeb Miller we wouldn't have a show without you.
Thank you to all of the drama parents who supported our actors and actresses, got them to rehearsals, helped sell tickets, and encouraged our cast to be the best that they can be! We love you!
Thank you to Generations Theater Company for sharing your stage curtains and props with us!
