When D'Artagnan first stumbles into Paris with nothing but dreams of becoming a Musketeer, he's a lot like our young performers – full of fire, ready for adventure, and maybe just a little bit unsure of exactly who he is (though he'd never admit it!). Throughout his journey, he discovers that being a true Musketeer isn't about fancy swordplay or dashing uniforms – it's about staying true to your values and standing by your friends, no matter what.
I've watched our incredible cast and crew embark on their own journey of discovery these past months, and let me tell you – they've shown more courage, dedication, and heart than any Cardinal's Guards I've ever seen! The fact that most of our company is made up of undersclassmen makes their achievements even more remarkable. They've tackled complex fight choreography, period dialogue, and dramatic sword fights with the confidence of seasoned performers twice their age.
Like the Musketeers themselves, this young company has formed an unshakeable bond. They've supported each other through challenging rehearsals, celebrated each other's victories (both on and off stage), and proven that true friendship really can conquer all – even that tricky four v five fight sequence!
To our amazing cast and crew: I am beyond proud of the countless hours you've poured into this show. You've grown not just as performers, but as leaders, problem-solvers, and friends. You've shown that sll you need is determination, teamwork, and maybe a dash of that signature Musketeer swagger.
So as you watch our young heroes navigate honor, friendship, and the occasional sword fight, remember: like D'Artagnan, they're just at the beginning of their own amazing adventures. And if their work on this show is any indication, their futures are looking pretty swashbuckling indeed!
