Tara Cass has been an educator since 2001 as an English teacher (7-12). She started her career in San Diego, California at Kearny High School. When she moved to Connecticut in 2004, she began teaching at Cooperative Arts and Humanities High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature from Plymouth State College in New Hampshire, teacher certification from San Diego State University in California, her masters in Arts in Comparative Literature from Southern Connecticut State University in Connecticut, and her masters in education from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York. Tara has recently been the producer for musicals including Footloose, High School Musical Jr., Shrek, Moana Jr., Aladdin Jr., The Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery and The Lion King Jr. When Tara isn't producing a musical she enjoys interior gardening, camping, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends.

Briana Bellinger-Dawson

Briana Bellinger-Dawson is the Dramatic Arts and Dance Teacher of Nathan Hale for the last 8 years. At the age of 9, she performed in The Nutcracker on Broadway and at Lincoln Center in New York City. Briana is a teaching artist for Elm Shakespeare Company in New Haven, CT and Playhouse on Park in Hartford, CT. Briana attended American Musical Dramatic Academy in 2010 and the NYU/ Yellowbrick Performing Arts program in 2020. She has recently directed and choreographed shows like "The Lion King Jr.", "The Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery", "Aladdin Jr.", “Moana Jr.”,"Daisy on Harlem’s Doorsteps”, In the Heights", "Rent”, “Shrek”, High School Musical, Footloose, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Briana has a great passion for arts education. Briana would like to thank her family, staff, cast and crew. Ms. B will be leaving Hale and starting her new journey at Wesleyan University as the Coordinator of Community Partnerships.
