 Who's Who

  • Liz Goldenberg head shot

    Liz Goldenberg

Birthday Girl Liz was born on Oct. 29, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio. She is told she interrupted the evening news to make her first appearance, which may explain her unending fascination with the news. From Dayton, Liz moved to Teaneck, NJ, where she went to kindergarten. After a year, the family moved to Potomac, Maryland, where Liz grew up, danced for Balanchine & with Kevin McKenzie, swam, was a lifeguard & a cheerleader, fell in love with Springsteen & the Beach Boys, met Roger Daltry in Georgetown, worked on political campaigns, participated in synagogue youth groups, attended camp, became a Thespian & even found time to attend school. Then it was off to Mount Holyoke in South Hadley, Mass, where she found her voice, combined ballet & swimming by doing synchro, played rugby & worked in the Reagan White House. She has been in NYC since graduating in 1985, except when she's traveling. She thanks everyone from all aspects of her life who have made the effort to join this celebration!

  • John Moauro head shot

    John Moauro

Chief Liz Organizer John was invaluable help, a steady hand & at times the puppeteer keeping Liz on track and sane through the entire process from start to finish. It was John's idea to bring Maria in as the 'Cocktail Creator.' Liz thanks the Public Theater & HAIR for bringing John into her life.

  • Rob Mooney head shot

    Rob Mooney

Assistant Liz Organizer Rob has been there as a calming influence throughout every step of organizing the party. Rob's experience with throwing big events has been invaluable help, as well as his advice on chardonnay. Liz and Rob got to know each other because she kept bothering him for tickets to HAIR at Shakespeare in the Park.

  • Lauren Elder head shot

    Lauren Elder

Associate Liz Organizer Lauren kept Liz realistic throughout the planning process, kept her laughing instead of crying out of frustration with the 'creative' process. During planning, Lauren got a role in 'Side Show' in San Diego! Liz and Lauren became friends through the Public Theater's production of HAIR.
