    Alice Bishop has been in the music industry for over 35 years. She is excited to be Directing Into the Woods, JR. Alice has enjoyed every minute with this cast and crew. She says, "It has been a joy directing this talented cast of young actors. Their hard work and dedication is inspiring. I am incredibly excited to see our vision come to life on the Farr Best Theater stage!" Owner of Music Place Mansfield’s Music Store and Fine Arts Conservatory, she is honored to offer the Greater Mansfield area a full service music store and quality Fine Arts program. She loves the city of Mansfield and is a strong proponent of “Shop Mansfield.” She would like to thank her wonderfully talented and dedicated staff and sends a very special thank you to her supportive and loving family.   • Dilhya Ross head shot

    Dilhya Ross

    Musical Director

    Dilhya Ross is pleased to be the Musical Director for Into the Woods, Junior. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Hardin-Simmons University and studied International Education Development at Columbia University. Ms. Ross has performed as a member of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Chorus, Manhattan Children's Theatre, and on Broadway for the Children and Arts celebration of Stephen Sondheim’s 75th Birthday benefit performance, where she performed Into the Woods excerpts with Broadway greats: Whoopi Goldberg, Patti Lapon, and of course Stephen Sondheim himself. While in New York, she performed in numerous theater, film, and television productions. Ms. Ross has directed in the DFW area, New York City, and throughout the country. She continues her acting career and appears both locally and nationally on television. Ms. Ross currently teaches acting, voice and music at Music Place Mansfield.

  • Cory Gerdes head shot

    Cory Gerdes

    Stage Manager

    Cory Gerdes (overall awesome person) has been involved in theater over 30 years. He has writing, producing and directing credits, along with his stage and television acting. He has worked with two other schools, the Cozad Arts Council and Tyler Civic Theater. In addition, Cory wrote two shows which won him Nebraska Outstanding Playwright and invitations to the International Thespian Conventions both his junior and senior years. He also developed a stage and screen adaptation of his parent’s divorce using popular music in a three part rock opera trilogy: The Construction Chronicles.
