Heist Quest - April 16

Muriel Clayton Middle School

 Acknowledgements

Back in October when I brought Heist Quest to our previous cast and crew, I never imagined how the months would unfold—and now after the incredibly hard work of cast and crew, the big day has finally arrived! This year's production is yet another shining example of what can happen when passionate students come together to create something magical.

To this incredible cast—your energy, creativity, and dedication have brought this quirky, fast-paced adventure to life in the most unforgettable way. To our cast behind the scenes, from tech to set to costume to sound—thank you. This show could not run without you. The heart of this production is in every moment you’ve given, every prop you’ve painted, and every mic you’ve untangled.

We’d like to send out a few special thank-yous:

-To the parents and teachers of our cast and crew: thank you for your continued support—getting kids to early morning rehearsals, listening to them in character (Rhys), and cheering them on every step of the way. Your encouragement means everything.

-To our unstoppable backstage crew: your Fridays, before-school hustle, and after-school grind transformed our stage into a tavern, Kingdoms, dungeona and spider layer. Your paint-stained hands and endless patience have not gone unnoticed.

-To all MCMS staff: thank you for your ongoing support and flexibility during the chaos of production season. Your willingness to adjust schedules and share space means the world to us.

-To our front office team: thank you for always being our go-to heroes—whether it’s answering endless questions, collecting our Amazon packages or finding that one last set piece in your garage, you always come through.

-To Mrs. Sellan and Mrs. Bain: thank you for backing our big ideas and giving us the time and space to bring them to life.

-To the P.E. department: thank you for once again letting us hijack the old gym—especially during show week! We appreciate your patience more than you know.

-To our amazing custodial staff: your patience with our glitter trails, set pieces, and late-night rehearsals does not go unnoticed. Thank you for everything.

-To Mr. Lowe: I don't think we have ever seen a nicer looking, safer set of stage steps- but that door stays blue, Mackenzie might just lose her mind!

-Ms. Champagne’s dad, Tom: Finally (in true tradition), a heartfelt thank you toYour boundless creativity, ingenious problem-solving, and unwavering generosity have been at the heart of our productions for years. From iconic set pieces that have stood the test of time—like the legendary well—to countless behind-the-scenes fixes and builds, you are truly the unsung hero of our stage. Thank you for transforming wood, wire, and imagination into magic, year after year.

To everyone who contributed, supported, donated, cheered us on, or simply showed up—thank you. These productions are only possible because of you. From the bottom of our hearts.

~ Ms. Champagne
