 CAST AND CREW BIOS

ARI ACIERNO (Lord Montague) is a senior and is ecstatic to participate in the Mount Sinai Performing Arts for his fourth year! You may recognize him from A Midsummer Night's Dream (Theseus), Chicago (Ensemble) and Seussical (Citizen of Who). He also assisted with the spotlights during last year’s production of 1776. In his free time, Ari loves art and practices whenever he can. He would like to thank his family for their support, and his friends for drilling his lines into his head!! Break a leg everyone!

KAITLYN ARICHABALA (Juliet) is a junior. This is her third year performing in MSPA. She has been in eleven previous shows now, six of those shows being with Mount Sinai Performing Arts. Outside of drama she also plays flute and likes to read. It has been so exciting to see the show begin to form and come together, and she wishes everyone in the cast and crew a great opening night!

MALIA AYALA (Ensemble) is a freshman at MSHS. She was an ensemble member in the MSMS musical production Newsies Jr. Malia likes to play violin and videogames when she’s not stressing over schoolwork and tests. She wants to thank her parents for dealing with the rambling she does about how great everyone is and how she loves being a part of the show. THANK YOU, MRS. CONNOR!

BRIELLE BALZ (Stage Manager) is a senior and is really excited to be able to help with this production! She was part of the Stage Crew for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Assistant Stage Manager for Seussical, and Stage Manager for I Never Saw Another Butterfly and 1776. She’d like to thank her friends for getting her involved with MSPA. Break a leg to the amazing cast of Romeo and Juliet!

GIANNA BARRESI (Ensemble) is a freshman. This is her first year of Drama Club and she’s really excited to be in Romeo and Juliet. She plays the cello and really likes volleyball, too! She’s always liked to act and her dream is to be in a movie someday. You may see her in The Little Mermaid later in the year. She’s already met so many amazing people and can't wait to be in more shows with them! She’d like to thank her parents for always encouraging her to do what she loves and her older cousin Melissa, who went to Connetquot and appeared in shows like The Adams Family, Beauty and the beast and a lot more,  for inspiring her to join Drama. She wants to especially thank her dad. He wanted to act but no one encouraged him in his dream like he did for her.

HAILEY BOLEN (Sister Joanna on Saturday, Ensemble) is thrilled to be in her first MSPA stage production! Hailey enjoys dancing, singing, drawing, making bracelets, seeing shows, watching Newsies (the stage production and the 1992 movie!), cosplaying, and hanging out with friends! Her favorite musicals are Newsies, Tuck Everlasting, The Great Gatsby, and Mean Girls. She is so excited for you to see her and her friends perform! She really likes pasta, especially ravioli. She knows a lot of facts about the Newsboy Strike of 1899. She’s so excited to participate in MSPA and be with her friends! Break a leg, cast and crew!

ISABELLA BUSTAMANTE (Ensemble) is a freshman and is so thrilled to be performing for MSHS for the first time in this production of Romeo and Juliet. She has performed in the MSMS productions The Adams Family and Dorothy in Wonderland. When she is not on stage she is dancing in preparation for the Disney parade and hanging out with friends. She wants to thank her parents for supporting her, and her brothers and friends for coming to all of her plays and supporting her because it really means a lot.

MICHAEL CASTRO (Ensemble) is a sophomore at MSHS.  Hr has been acting for six years and he loves it!  He has been in a few shows: Aliens Take Over, Junie B. Jones, and Honk Jr.  He wants to say thank you to the cast of this production for being amazing and fun.  But he also wants to thank his family for all the support.  His best advice is, if you want to be a star, don’t let anything hold you back.

SOPHIA CHEN (Sound Co-Chief) is a junior, and has been part of the stage crew since the eighth grade. Sophia was part of other productions such as Dorothy in Wonderland in eighth grade; A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Seussical freshman year; and I Never Saw Another Butterfly, 1776, and Almost, Maine last year.
