The Prom begins on Broadway where Broadway actors, DEE DEE ALLEN and BARRY GLICKMAN have just opened their new show, Eleanor!: The Eleanor Roosevelt Story.
Meanwhile at JAMES MADISON HIGH SCHOOL in EDGEWATER, INDIANA, students have just found out that their classmate, EMMA NOLAN, wants to take her girlfriend to the prom and bully and tease her, hoping that she will relent and give up on her dream. However Emma, along with her principal, MR. HAWKINS, are set on ensuring she has her Prom, while the PTA, led by MRS. GREENE, works with the community to stop it from happening.
BARRY and DEE DEE, along with their publicist, SHELDON, and two fellow washed-up actors, TRENT OLIVER and ANGIE DICKINSON, learn of this news, they seize the opportunity to travel to Indiana to help Emma get her prom.
These fish out of water are set to go up against something worse then the press – Parents!
Will Emma get her Prom? Will the Broadway actors find renowned fame?
