Greetings,

Welcome to the Deluxe Theatre and our 2022-2023 closing 

production of the award winning musical A Chorus Line. 

We are thrilled you are here to celebrate this beautiful work 

of art with us.  A Chorus line is a ebullient celebration of the musical theatre performer and the love of the craft.  

I have wanted to present this show for MVE/BBYMT for many years.  After having directed it twice professionally and choreographing the piece numerous amouts of time the message continues to resonate with me as a dancer, performer, and artist.   This is a show about people who are putting themselves on the line. So they stand before you... bare, naked, scared, and vulnerable, and wanting to be accepted for who they are, and not what someone told them to be. 

I am so grateful to the amazing creative artist who habe embarked with me on this journey Ian Evans, Jesse Woodcock, Kelly Hammond, Cynthia Lopez, the Deluxe Theatre Staff, Mary Beth Arrington of Academy of City Ballet of Houston, Olga Scisco, Tikisha Santiago, Moma Moore, Clif & Ty Moore, Derrick Gibbs, and Lauren Mulacek.  Words can not express my gratitude to this beautiful cast who have manuvered to sweat and tears to create a piece of art that we call can be proud of.  All of you have been the heartbeat to this wonderful process and incredible production.

A Chorus Line remains, even more than forty years after its debut, the quintessential show about Broadway. It’s a show where love of theatre, even more than theatre itself, is celebrated.  We hope that you find our  heartbeat within the dance with honesty and integrity.
