  Directors  

Mrs. Ashley Calderon-McHugh (music & dance, club advisor) is the 6-12th grades Choral Director, 7-12th grades Vocal Lesson Instructor, and 6th grade General Music Teacher for Mineral Point Unified Schools. She is a Music Theory Adjunct Instructor for UW-Oshkosh, Registered Adjudicator for Wisconsin Schools Music Association, Director for Platteville Children’s Choir, Board Member for Mineral Point Opera House, Vocal Faculty for Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, Guest Conductor for Six Rivers West Conference, private voice lesson instructor, and professional performer. Mrs. Calderon-McHugh was an Adjunct Instructor at New York University Steinhardt while earning a Masters of Music and an Advanced Certificate. She was a Business Manager for Eastern Symphony Orchestra and three university choral ensembles while earning a Masters of Arts and a Bachelors of Music from Eastern Illinois University. Mrs. Calderon-McHugh's favorite roles have been Portia (Something Rotten), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel), Noemie (Cendrillion), Hodel (Fiddler on the Roof), Madame de la Grande Buche (Beauty and the Beast), and Luisa (The Fantasticks). She is grateful for the support of her dedicated co-directors, encouraging community, crazy friends, loving family, and her awesomely talented husband, Ray.

 

 

Mr. Bill Duwell (set & backstage) would like to dedicate this effort to the late Dr. William Hezlep. A great combination of tough and compassionate and a terrific mentor.

 

 

Mrs. Blair Kott (lead costumes) is a costume designer and performer from Platteville. Originally hailing from Hazel Green, she is so pleased to be working in the SWAL conference again! Blair earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2020 from UW-Platteville before moving to Minneapolis to join Fearless Comedy Productions. Her design credits include Fool for Love and Cloud 9 for the UW-Platteville Pioneer Players, Bright Star for the Platteville Summer Arts Festival, and Antigone and Much Ado About Nothing for Eden Prairie High School. She would like to thank everyone at Mineral Point High School for giving her the opportunity to work with them. Enjoy the show!
