This production of The Laramie Project before you would not have been possible without the support and encouragement of countless people. From the administrators who helped get us out of the starting gate, to the parents and friends who provided costume and prop pieces, I owe my sincere gratitude. But, most of all, to these students.
The cast members of the Methacton High School Theatre Company have gone above and beyond my wildest expectations. They have auditioned for, rehearsed, costumed, and recorded this beautiful work of art. While that in itself would be worthy of extreme praise, they did it all in eight weeks. Eight weeks of maintaining their role as students, during a pandemic, with only virtual rehearsals, and one of the most challenging scripts I have ever seen. And yet, they never backed down. They took this challenge of telling the story of the people of Laramie, and they did it great justice. They did it correct. For that, I am immensely proud and grateful.
Thank you, all, for an experience I will never forget.
