Trish Hales
Musical Direction/Ochestra
Trisha was born and raised in Gary, Indiana where she was raised in a musical household. Her mother was a nurse who sang in choirs all her life and her father, a gas serviceman for NIPSCO, played the flute and piccolo in the Northwest Indiana Symphony, U.S. Steel Carillco band and many other professional musical organizations in NW Indiana. Piano lessons were begun in third grade and voice lessons in ninth. Upon graduation from Calumet High School in 1973 she auditioned for and was accepted to Indiana University School of Music where she studied with the late opera star Eileen Farrell. While at I.U., she had the privilege of appearing in the world premier performance of John Eaton’s opera Danton and Robespierre as well as premiering the song cycle Songs for Patricia written by Alec Wilder. She graduated with High Honors in 1977 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance and received her Masters in 1978 in VocalPedagogy.

Mark Danielson
Conductor
Mark Danielson is the MHS Band director and oversees Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Impact, Marching Band, Pep Band, Piano & Electronic Keyboard. Mark is also an accomplished trumpet player. He has played in Ross Music Theatre's orchestras for over 20 years. He has played in the brass section for everything from Jesus Christ Superstar to Ragtime, and Spamalot. Last January he conducted the orchestra for Ross Music Theatre's winter production of Spamalot. Mark also plays in many other orchestras and ensembles all over Northwest Indiana.

Jacob Reinhart
as The Phantom
Jacob was Jud in Merrillville High School’s production of “Oklahoma” but started his career at the age of one when he played the younger brother of Billy in “ BIG” the musical. He went on to play Chip in “Beauty and the Beast” and Charlie in “Oliver”. He has also appeared in “Ragtime”, and “Les Miserables”. Jacob is a junior honor student at Merrillville where he is a member of the Vocalteens.

Scarlett Smith
as Christine Daaé
Scarlett Smith is an honors student at Merrillville High School. She was seen in RSMT’s Spamalot as a chorus member. Scarlett was last seen as Isabelle in this year’s production of "Scrooge". She is extremely excited and honored to play the role of Christine in Phantom.

Tyreak Thomas
as Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny
Tyreak is a sophomore at MHS where he has played Ali Hackam in Oklahoma, Flute in A Midsummers Night's Dream. Community theatre credits include parts in Les Miserables, Scrooge, and Spamalot. Tyreak is also a Vocalteen,and vice-president of MHS’s Thespian Troupe. He hopes to major in Theatre Education while at college, and is very enthused to be taking on the role of Andre.
