The Making of a Musical

What you see on stage is the product of months of planning and rehearsal. The planning phases of a musical begin in January. Auditions are in September and rehearsals are generally 4 days a week for 2-3 hours.  Students and parents sacrifice their time and lend their talents both on stage and behind the scenes to create theatre magic.

The financial costs of production are steep and rising daily:

Royalties and Rights                    $1000-$4000

Costume, Prop and Set Rentals    $4000

Personnel                                   $3000

Publicity                                     $1000

Company Snacks                          $500

Company Celebration                  $500

The Mechanicsville Theatre Company could not survive without ticket sales, concessions sales and the generous donations of our patrons.

If you or your business would like to partner with MTC to ensure that we can continue to provide quality entertainment experiences for our students and community please reach out to the boosters at mtcdramaboosters@gmail.com

No donation is too small and ALL donations are tax deductible.
