as Rafiki

Cadence is excited to be playing the part of Rafiki in MTC's Lion King Jr. She wishes the cast and crew a successful show and hopes you enjoy watching this show come to life.
Abby "AJ" Johnson

as Mufasa

AJ is 13, and this is her 5th McLaughlin show. It was her director, vocal director, and fellow cast members that brought this show from script to stage. She is so grateful to be part of the magic of live theatre and has truly found her place in the great Circle Of Life. Be prepared to laugh and cry during our production of the Lion King.
Lauren DeJong

as Sarabi/Lioness

Lauren is ecstatic to be performing as Sarabi, Simba's Mom, in MTC’s version of, “Lion King Jr.” She has been doing theatre since she was in 2nd grade. Along with acting and singing she enjoys doing water polo, swimming, and going to youth group at her church. Lauren wants to thank all of the people who have come to support her and her directors Jen and Jess. Hope you enjoy the show!!
Sammy Soren

as Zazu

Sammy is 12 and is in 6th grade. He attends school at the Ophir Steam Academy. This is his second McLaughlin show. Sam enjoys the outdoors and taking care of his show pigs, his three dogs and six cats and one pigmy goat. His love for theater is growing with each production and would like to thank his cast mates for making this Lion King show so enjoyable.
Brandon Gonsalves

as Scar

Brandon is a freshman at Granite Bay High. He has been singing and acting in musical theatre since the age of 6. Brandon's specialty is playing the "villain".His favorite roles include The Wolf /Into The Woods,Captain Hook/Peter Pan, Jafar/Aladdin,Jetsam/Little Mermaid and Scar/Lion King. Brandon feels most happy when he is on the stage performing and hopes you enjoy the show!
