Director's Note:
I remember seeing the Disney version of "The Lion King" in theaters when it was first released ages ago. There was something to behold about a such a powerful story; albeit, an animated one at that! This timeless classic has even been theorized to follow the story line of Shakespeare's Hamlet... A king murdered by his brother, wrongfully usurping the throne, while a banished son loses his identity. This story, coupled with the comedic relief of many beloved characters, continue to touch the hearts of millions today. While many renditions of this legendary production have been in place all over the globe, it is with immense pride and honor that we present our version of The Lion King Junior here in the heart of Northern California. These actors have gone from ordinary to extraordinary, finding themselves along the way, much like Simba does throughout his journey. Snuggle up under the stars of our theatre... and remember.
