Notes from the Director

Hello and welcome to Disney’s “Aladdin Jr.”! We are thrilled to have you here. It has been such a pleasure getting to work with the wonderful students in this production. They are hard-working, funny, intelligent, and best of all, kind. I love working with youth as they are very passionate and curious actors who always have their own ideas to incorporate. Working on Aladdin has been a blast. I remember getting to watch the movie in theaters when I was young, and absolutely loving the story, the characters, and above all, Robin William’s performance. We have done our best to pay homage to the original while also making it our own.
Natalie Quilici, our Choreographer, is inspiring to work with, always bringing new life to the musical numbers onstage. Wally Keller has been in charge of making our sets, and they turned out great. Mark Parenti designed and built our magical flying carpet.  Lorien Waymire and Ruth Seagraves have headed up the costume team, and designed the beautiful costumes out of their imaginations, their skill, and materials from the loft. They are supremely creative and are very fun to work with. Jared Capper did a beautiful job with vocals. Nancie made this production possible and we are all so grateful for her!  Thank you to all the countless volunteers that make community theatre possible. It has been a wonderful fall working on this and I will miss this cast and crew when we close our show.
Thank you to those who bought the new chairs! I’m sure they will make your performance experience much more comfortable for years to come.
Have a Magical Night!
Best Regards,
Danielle Mercado
