    Ben Cook - Music Director

    John Benjamin (Ben) Cook, National Board Certified Teacher, has taught music in Alabama's public schools since 2007. He is also the choir director at Cahaba Heights United Methodist Church in Vestavia Hills, AL. He has served as assistant director of the Montevallo Chorale, children’s choir director at First United Methodist Church Trussville, as a staff conductor of the Birmingham Girls Choir, and as a choral clinician for Alabama Boys’ State. Cook lives in Trussville with his wife and two daughters.

    Anastasia Ferrell - Costume Designer

    Anastasia Ferrell (BFA) is a lifelong theatre conspirator; performing, directing, costuming, “tech-ing”, and designing her way through dozens of shows, from her hometown of Fairhope, Alabama, to her alma mater, the University of Montevallo, and New York. Wearing all these hats (and more) as founder and Artistic Director of Jumbo Shrimp Theatre, Ferrell produced and toured three seasons of children’s theatre into Baldwin County, Alabama schools. Having recently relocated to Birmingham, Ferrell is thrilled to work with her dear friend, Carl Dean, in bringing “In the Heights” to life.

    Jakira Dial - Assistant Director

    Jakira is 17 years old and is a current senior at McAdory High School. She has been involved in theatre since the 9th grade. She started off as stage crew for "Play it Again Sam", but later discovered she had more talent on stage. Ever since then she has participated in every play and musical, mostly principal roles. Now she is on to a different objective. To be the assistant director.

    Kennedi Grant - Stage Manager

    Kennedi is a sophomore at McAdory High School. Outside of "In The Heights" she has managed two other productions, "The Wiz" and "On Lock" under the direction of Carl Dean. Besides theatre Kennedi is also a part of the MHS Varsity Volleyball Team. Kennedi is very excited for tonight and hopes you enjoy the show as much as she has working on it.

    Chris Smith - Lighting

    Chris is a sophomore at McAdory High School. He has been in theatre for 2 years and has worked as tech in three productions. His favorite production he has worked in would be "The Wiz". He has enjoyed the role he has played in the theatre program and plans to continue working in the upcoming years.
