Notes from the Director:
At the end of every musical season, we start planning our next show. Normally by the Sunday show, we have a good idea of where we are going next. However, last year... We were stumped. We were sick of the traditional shows that seems to circulate around out area. So we decided to think big and outside the box. After looking at titles for days, we thought that Shrek was as big as possible. So here we are.
We are always amazed at how much we learn with every show. This production has shown us that we have a lot left to learn! We are so thankful that we have rock-stars in our school. People who can paint, and build, and create things that are beyond what we could even dream.
While this year's show has presented many challenges, it has also been so exciting to see each of our cast members step up to help. Look at the props they have made, the numerous roles some of them play, and the leadership they have taken in our cast. It is so neat to see how much our cast members grow over a season and the positive changes they bring to the rest of our "musical family."
It is with great sorrow that we say good-bye to this year's seniors. The impact that they have made on our school and the many students they work with will be a lasting reminder of their passions. It's hard to picture a show without Joe and Marissa, who have been our musical couple for the past few years.
We look forward to watching our underclassmen grow in talent. Judging by this years production, we have some great talent coming up in the ranks.
We hope that you enjoy our show as much as we have enjoyed the last nine weeks of preparation.
Ogre and out!
