The Cast
CAROLINA BIRKS (Ensemble): Carolina is in 5th grade. Ever since she was in 1st grade and watched her first musical at MON, she knew that one day she wanted to be on stage. Carolina always had a joy for singing and dancing! She is so thankful to be part of the Matilda Jr. musical family.
SEAN CHESTER (Escapologist): Sean started participating in MoN Musical Theater in fifth grade as Zazu in Lion King Jr. The following year he enjoyed being part of the production of Moana Jr. (as the Tamatoa team). This year he’s excited to bring a very difficult musical to MoN stage - Matilda Jr! Outside of school, Sean enjoys playing guitar, being part of the champion team in volleyball, and being a member of the junior board of the Paul Chester foundation. Go MoN theater!
KENDALL DALAL (Miss Honey): Kendall is excited for her second appearance on the MoN stage after debuting as Gramma Tala in MoN's production of Moana Jr. last year. She is a 6th grader who loves playing volleyball and spending time with her friends, family, and the many animals she has at home. Kendall was honored last Fall when she was given the opportunity to perform a song for the annual Comfort Cases Benefit. She hopes that everyone enjoys the show!
AIDEN DUQUE (Michael): Aiden is in 5th Grade at Mary of Nazareth. He loves Math, basketball, golf, and Roblox. He enjoys being in the MoN choir and band. He is excited to be a part of Matilda Jr. musical production!
AVA FIX (Amanda Thripp): Ava is thrilled to be part of her second appearance on the MON stage. She performed in MON's Moana Jr. and has participated in Blackrock's summer theater camp. She is a 6th grader who enjoys dancing, singing and is learning how to play lacrosse. When Ava isn't busy with school and after school activities, she loves spending time with her friends, family and her los diablos (two toy fox terrier maniac dogs). And FYI - NOBODY will ever get her to cut those pigtails off!
AUDREY GRONDINE (Ensemble): This is Audrey's second year participating in MoN Musical Theatre. As a 6th grader, she will once again be performing with the ensemble. Audrey can't wait to bring Matilda Jr. to the stage this spring, making memories to look back on with a smile. Audrey also enjoys swimming, soccer, traveling and spending time with friends.
ABIGAIL (ABBY) GRUME (Ensemble): Abby is in 5th grade and enjoys hanging out with her friends, playing piano and sketching. She is very excited to perform in Matilda Jr. for her first appearance on MON’s stage.
ELLEN HARDNOCK (Ensemble, Student Dance Captain): This is Ellen’s third year performing with the MoN Musical Theatre. She participated in The Lion King, Jr. and was in last year’s Moana, Jr. Beyond singing and dancing, Ellen enjoys drawing, painting, and hanging out with friends. She is active in the Mustangs athletic program participating in cross-country and track & field.
