Hello My Baby - April 28 - April 29, 2017

Marshall Middle School

 End Notes

Thank you for coming! We hope you have fun!

Sit back and enjoy as we travel back to the 1910s, New York, a time where money was tight and music played a big part in people’s lives. Music helped them escape their many struggles and it gave them hope within the darkness.

As a young child, I can remember my Nana singing many of these songs. Many of you will also recognize the songs from the Carnival Cruise commercial with Kathie Lee or with Michigan J. Frog from Warner Brothers. We hope we can transport you back to a simpler time where you can all sing along with the music.

This preformance is dedicated to Mrs. Graham.  Our costumer, our colleague and our friend.

The song says a “good man is hard to find” but a good woman is harder to find. Mrs. Graham is our Wonder Woman. She takes our vision and locates, sews, repairs and irons 60 plus costumes for the cast with the “nagging” of one very persistent director (Mr. Ashe).  The completion of this miraculous task always amazes us. She does the fittings as well as the sewing and (in her “spare time”) also plays the piano at her church and enjoys spending time with her beautiful grandchildren (Kelsey, Skylar, Jace, and Cole).

She always has a kind word or a hug when you need it. What people don’t know, is that Mrs. Graham has had the love for the theatre since she was a child. In high school and college, she was the star of her productions. Now, she’s our star! We are all extremely grateful for all of her hard work and patience. Without her, the show would never go on. We wish her a happy, healthy and relaxing retirement. So Toot toot  Tootsie---this isn’t a goodbye, but a hello to a wonderful, new chapter. We hope you always chase rainbows!

With our thanks,
