Director's Note
The time has finally come. Dylan Baierlein's final show here at Marjory Stoneman Douglas is finally upon us. Directing Annie the Musical has been a wild ride, with challenges, fears, stress, and a severe lack of sleep. Regardless of all bumps in the road, this journey has been amazing. Hoping to create a performance rooted completely in positivity, enjoyment is key. I firmly believe that the more a cast enjoys the rehearsal process, the better a show becomes. Striving to add intrigue to this 1930's period piece, we say goodbye to long black outs that halt a show's pace, and say hello to rotating set pieces, making scenes flow seamlessly. Thank you to my cast and crew, Mrs. Herzfeld, and all those who have supported me. Enjoy the show!
