Synopsis of The Lion King Jr.
Disney's The Lion King Jr. opens on the African savannah as all of the animals gather to celebrate the birth of Simba, the son of Mufasa and Sarabi and next in line to become king of Pride Rock. While all of the animals welcome the new cub, one character is missing. Scar, Mufasa's brother, purposefully missed the ceremony because of his jealousy over the fact that he is no longer next in line for the throne.
The story follows Simba as he grows up and learns about his place in the Circle of Life. He is oblivious to Scar's evil intentions and faces severe consequences. He is banashed to the desert, and the Pridelands soon fall into disrepair with no food or water in sight.
Will Simba return to claim his place as the rightful king? Or will he continue to live the life of an outcast, never again seeing his friends or family?
