Synopsis of The Music Man Jr.
The Music Man is a story that follows conman Harold Hill as he arrives in River City, Iowa. Salesmen in the Midwest despise him because his schemes have given all salesmen a bad reputation. Harold's scheme centers around getting a town excited about starting a marching band, then escaping in the middle of the night once he has collected the money for the instruments and uniforms. River City proves tough for him because of the citizens' Iowa Stubborness, and the town's music teacher, Marian Paroo, senses his hoax from the beginning. Can Harold manage to fool the town and collect the money, or will he find something more in Iowa than he ever expected?
