Notes from the Director:
In a faraway land, in the city of Agrabah, the Princess Jasmine must be married before her next birthday. The Princess believes she should marry for love not for convenience, she decides to escape to the Marketplace of Agrabah where every beggar has a story and every camel has a tail! Aladdin the 'street rat' lives in the Marketplace where their fateful meeting occurs! The beautiful Princess captures Aladdin's heart and he is determined to win her over! With the help of his friend the Genie, Aladdin triumphs over the evil Jafar for Jasmine's hand in marriage. Aladdin and Jasmine live happily ever after, with a "whole new world" of opportunity ahead of them.
As Christians, we know happiness and happily ever after only comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This is a life long journey in which we are called to serve and honor our Lord in everything we do!
"Delight yourself also in the Lord; and He shall give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:3
I hope you see the light of Jesus through all the performers in this production as they take you on this journey to the City of Enchantment.
