Sommer Farhat Valent

This is Mrs. Farhat Valent's second year as MHS's Drama teacher and her 20th year being an educator. She started acting on this exact same stage in 1996 and never looked back. She loves being a Mustang again! She can be seen in local plays and acting in films for competetions. She won Best Actress at the Jax 48 Hr. Film Fest in 2023. She loves planting the acting seed in students and watching them blossom on stage!

Rebecca Turngren

Miss Turngren joins the Mandarin High School Faculty as the New Chorus Director. She recently graduated from the University of North Florida with her Master's degree in Vocal performance and previously received a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is an active performer and music teacher in the Jacksonville community. She is grateful to Principal Bravo for the opportunity to work with such an amazing faculty and to lead the next generation of vocal musicians.

Hailey Lapointe

Hailey Lapointe is so excited to be in mandarin highs musical! She is currently a freshmen and this is her first show at mandarin! In the past Hailey has been in various shows at mandarin middle you may have seen her in! Outside of doing theatre Hailey loves dance, swimming & really anything creative! She’s super excited for you to see the show!

I'm a first timer here for a role in any play. I have an affinity for the arts to one day vocalize future injustices with it. I didn’t think of the possibility I would get it in to this intensity. I've been very encouraged to be working alongside both cast and tech that's effortlessly worked towards this moment. We will continue to transcend further throughout.
